Also fails on Parallels Workstation 2.1 with Windows XP as host system.
Gets to the blue installer screen, then pops up "Unable to locate boot
partition."
Hit Enter, pops up "Failed to open boot drive."  Hit Enter again and it freezes
(clock in upper right hand stops).

Tried using FreeBSD to install a master boot record.  No change.
Tried all four choices for the virtual IDE (IDE 0:0, IDE 0:1, IDE 1:0, IDE
1:1).
LiveCD hangs with
 Invalid partition table magic 0x2507 found on drive 0x9f
 Error Code: 0x0
 Error: no error
 Press any key
 Unable to locate boot partition
 Press any key

"Unable to locate boot partition"?  It just booted!
