This problem is that compact broke the standard about vbe. I found out it is
not only a ReactOS problem, alot of other os like linux have same problem with
vbe with this laptop. It can not swtich from text mode to graphic mode, after
boot process, you need switch the graphic card direcly after boot to graphic
mode, then it works with vbe in some times. This advice was giving by some at
compac in a mail/forum I found. But it is not a solvtions for us. 
Use vga drv with Compac nc6000 laptop.
