------- Comment #5 from olaf_siejka at o2.pl 2007-04-12 04:54 CET -------
Total Commander 6.58 (latest stable) installs and works fine, at least from rev
26260. All file/directory operations are performed correctly, apart from
renaming only.

Warning: issue 26272 introduced a new bug. Bug is reproductable and doesn`t
appear on earlier issues (in the tested range).

Entering into a directory with several different icons (for example Total
Commander directory) causes a fatal crash:

Application Error window, with OK button and error msg:
Exception EAccessViolation in module totalcmd.exe at 0004DB82
Access violation at adress 0044EDAE. Read of address 0000000C

Debug output:
(ntoskrnl\io\iomgr\file.c:410) FIXME: Broken Parse due to invalid
DesiredAccess: 3

nice day
(./subsystems/win32/win32k/ntuser/timer.c:157) Unable to locate timer in
message queue

Pressing the OK button closed TC window, but after a second, an empty
Application Error window appear, system freezes.

I found one workaround: If you press control panel icon FROM WITHIN Total
Commander (a shorcut to control panel), then subsequent entering to the same
directories WILL NOT produce this bug.
