Update: Some more notices after having encountered more of this issue.

The assertion at "line 2275" can also occur before I enter the Flushing Cache
stage. More specifically, it can occur after having installed the bootloader,
during the "registry loading" which ends with
"SYSREG_CHECKPOINT:USETUP_COMPLETE".
 I could "cont" past those asserts, but that lead to the assertion 1 described
in  the post above.
