I tried to download a file and save it to the desktop yesterday in Firefox
1.5.3 running in ReactOS trunk in VMWare - worked without any problem at all.

I saved robots.txt file from http://svn.reactos.org, and saw it on the desktop
(after clicking F5 to refresh it, of course).
