Newsletter #25 promotes the use of the experimental gcc  but for 4.2 looks like
this bug is a blocker, I'm having the exact same error using the rosbe from the
newsletter suggested link. 
Any hint? workaround? news from the gcc updates? should this be posted in the
mingw32's bugzilla

The gcc bug has a proposed survival patch
