Summary: Strange problem depending on the used monitor
           Product: ReactOS
           Version: TRUNK
          Platform: x86 Hardware
        OS/Version: ReactOS
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: Shell
        AssignedTo: ros-bugs at reactos.org
        ReportedBy: mail at colinfinck.de
         QAContact: ros-bugs at reactos.org

I recently did some ROS tests on real hardware (hardware specifications are
here: http://www.reactos.org/wiki/index.php/Colin_Finck/Test_Computers).

Now I have a strange problem, which depends on the used monitor.
If I use a Sharp 8.4-inch LCD Display, everything is working okay.

But usually I use a 17-inch Belinea 10 30 30 Monitor.
I can boot and install ROS in 1st stage setup with this Monitor, but then I
have problems in 2nd stage: The boot logo ("ReactOS enterprise") is displayed
including all messages, but when ROS switches to graphical mode, I only get a
black screen. The hard disk also stops working.
Now I unplug my monitor. Then I hear the hard disk working for some time. When
I then plug in the monitor again, I see the 2nd stage setup.
The same problem also occurs, when I finished installing ROS and want to boot
it.

The 17-inch Monitor works without any problems on every other computer with
every other operating system.

I also looked into the debug log and I couldn't find anything unusual.

Now I don't know where to start tracking down this problem.
If you need more information or I have to activate debug messages in a module,
please tell me.
