Storage stack recognizes the drive really, so it shows up in the objects tree. 
I'm not sure, but I think even partitions are recognized, but for some reason 
drive letters are not assigned.

I have similar problem with the USB storage device being hotplugged (with 
woodhead's driver).

Recognized as existing or recognized as containing a particular fs? The former
definately happens, I don't know how to determine the latter.
