Bug confirmed, I'll take care of it when doing the phpBB update

The new phpBB 3.x always shows this entry like "1 *new* messages". It probably 
had the same behaviour already in phpBB 2.x.

There is no common way to change that to the number of unread messages, so I'm 
closing this bug now.
