Comment 3 is not enought precise.

Issue does not come from the size of the file, but from wrinting twice.

Writing a 10990 lines 80 columns files seams to work great.

However writing file again crashes gvim.exe

Is assume it can be reproduce with writing an empty file with following key
sequence:
[ESCAPE key] :w foobar.txt [ENTER]
[ESCAPE key] :w! [ENTER]
should crash.
