Using a 25th October build on real hardware (working network card) I noticed
this problem too:
I selected a cathegory and after it downloads applications' list the OS
freezes; I don't know if this issue is related with this bug.

I can no longer try because atm I'm without this test machine, but I'll be able
to test it again in a few days.
