I've done quite a lot concerning all the the selection stuff in the past days,
so for example the free selection should work now, as resizing selections
should do. If I remember correctly, I also added a missing "break;" responsible
for the de-selection bug.
The new features are not yet 100% clean, but it might be worth a try.
