You've always got Anjuta and Kdevelop as a nice base to fall back on for
ideas and tips.
AFAIK, We don't have anything as powerful as these in open source for the
Win32 environment, so I reckon there is a market. 
As good as Dev-C++ is, is ain't no Kdevelop or VC++.
