Making a separate project for this is a little pointless anyway, since you can already partially do this. Take Darwin and put GNUstep on it. GNUstep aims to be OPENSTEP-compatible, with Cocoa as a side-goal, but you should be able to compile most Cocoa applications against GNUstep. -- Mike
