I'm not sure when you subscribed to ros-general, I can assure you
there's no spam problem with it now.

For the final release I've changed autorun.inf on the .iso to not point
to welcome.exe, first because it isn't included on the CD and second, if
it was it would only generate more confusion since it doesn't do
anything usefull yet.

On to the .iso issue. I have really no idea why it won't work for you.
I've burnt the .iso  on a CD and booted every PC in sight successfully
from it (at least till the point where it wants me to select a install
partition). Since it's very unlikely to be a hardware problem on your
side as you have tried different PCs, and it's not a .iso problem as I
can boot from it I can only guess that something went wrong between the
.iso image on the web site and the CD burning. What that "something"
could be I have no idea...
