Hi,

I will add the flag to helper.mak...the problem is that ntoskrnl doesn't use
that file...

Also, even with -Wno-strict-aliasing I still got warnings in ntoskrnl...any
idea why?

You should use "-Wno-strict-aliasing" and not "-fno-strict-aliasing"! 
Turing it off some what kills the purpose of the optimalization flag. 
Also I agree with Casper's proposal about adding flag to helper.mak.
