I already know about this. Similar detection routines are used in
FreeLoader. They detect the presence of PS/2 mice but cannot read their
PnP-ID. This only works for serial mice.

An IBM Track Point datasheet mentions a 'D0' command byte to read the PnP-ID
but it doesn't work with any of my PS/2 mice.
