[ros-kernel] RE: [ros-cvs] CVS Update: reactos

Hi Harmut,

I agree with you if the IFS is covered by NDA. However I don't think this is
true anymore, but I'll have to ask the person who got it for me. It's not a
matter of disrespect for anyone, and I will respect the EULA/NDAs attached
to anything. But as Steven said, I wasn't aware that the DDK EULA States
that you can't use it for ROS (if it does, aren't we in deep shit anyways?),
and I also thought that the IFS Kit was NDA-free (the new IFS will actually
be included in the regular MSDN Subscription....). If it still has an NDA
attached to it, I'm sorry for the mistake.

Best regards,
Alex Ionescu

Hi Hartmut,
As far as the IFS kit I agree with you. If it has a NDA attached to it
then yet I dont think we can even look at it but with the PSDK or the
DDK would we not be allowed to at least look at the interfaces and
reimplement them provide we are not directly copying? Even code on MSDN
is copyright Microsoft. Can you point to me where in the EULA it says
you cannot use this information to develop software for a non Windows
operating system?

Thanks
Steven
