the Bochs download is partially corrupt (bochs-dbg.exe CRC error 
mentioned by WinRAR),
Bochs version outdated (2.1 -> 2.1.1 or newer)

Explorer's desktop won't show up somehow. (I do see the mouse pointer).
IPS is set to 90 million in file BochsRC. 900.000 works better for me 
(1.2Ghz AMD Duron)

and finally, CVS snapshot page downloads seem corrupt, or my system is...
