Re: Boot camp and ReactOS

Search the ReactOS Forum for "install MacBook", "install Mac", and "install Macintosh" and see what you find. Perhaps you will find the answer to your question. (The forum search box is on the upper right corner of this forum web page.) Share what you discover. Note: Observe the ReactOS Forum Code o...

I just wish the first responder to the OP had put on his fashionable Edna Mode hat and replied, "No dates!"

Re: Research survey: Impact of Microsoft Acquisition of GitH

I am suspicious because the survey web page is not located at naist.jp (Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan) or any of its subdomains.

Re: Will btrfs be available immediately after GSOC?

A month or 2 might be reasonable, depending on the workload of the developers. No, no. I fear you are suggesting a completion date, Purple Gurl, and for somebody else's work. Check out Raymond Chen's story about "Once you announce a date, you're already late" that I linked to in an earlier post her...

Re: OpenExpo

I followed the link Rosh provided. Judging from the OpenExpo web site the target market for this trade fair are corporate IT staffs who seek mature open source products. ReactOS lacks the stability to compete in that market. Still, you can visit this trade show, Rosh, then report back.

Re: Open Source drivers

Rosh, if you wish to find all the open source software drivers available for Microsoft Windows XP/Server 2003 then do it. No one will stop you. Hardware vendor provided, closed source software drivers for Windows XP/2003 are plentiful and almost always cost-free to obtain. This frees the ReactOS pro...

"Not all that glitters is gold."--proverb

Rosh, before you again rush to post about some thing you found please research it first. Sometimes what looks like gold is only iron pyrite.

The Freedows project fell apart in 1998, 20 years ago.

To search for bugs or issues in the ReactOS JIRA: Log into the ReactOS JIRA, the project's issue tracker. Go to the ReactOS.org home (front) page Choose the "JIRA" link at the top of the page. The JIRA "System Dashboard" or login page should appear. Use the same login credentials (username and passw...

Re: Questions About Modifying the ReactOS ISO

Rosh, the usual procedure when one's own post is the final post in the topic is to add new text by editing one's earlier post. Two consecutive posts by the same person is called 'double posting'.

Re: Wiki: reCAPTCHA V1 IS SHUTDOWN

If the search feature in the ReactOS Forum was less awkward to use, Tobias_B._Besemer might have found this viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17055 topic that includes a 'work around' for the reCaptcha bug of the ReactOS Wiki.

Re: Will ReactOS native support protected mode 16-bit progra

The current design goal for ReactOS is to support all the functionality of 32-bit Microsoft Windows Server 2003. On a related topic: " If there is no 16-bit emulation layer in 64-bit Windows, how come certain 16-bit installers are allowed to run? " by Raymond Chen - MSFT, <i>The Old New Thing</i> (b...
