ubuntu has lost support for older hardware there newest release 12.04 has pae enbled by defualt which will not allow non-pae systems to boot, sadly lubuntu and xubuntu will follow the same path in 12.10 just thought i should give everyone the heads up for anyone who use's linux?

So that means a Pentium Pro, AMD Athlon or later is required. Kind of thought they required that a while back, but Ubuntu is too bloated and painful to try on anything slower.

Well, ReactOS runs on my Pentium (1) 200mhz!

i'm hoping it becomes a finish product soon i do like ubuntu when 8.04 was still new but now it's nothing but bloat wire like vista. what a shame. :(

btw it has to be pentium 4 or new to run ubuntu, and soon lubuntu and xubuntu will be the same. 12.10 will be pae only.
