Most of those are cute and I get them. I assume the rodents are hamsters, since I couldn't spot any tails, though that is a bad angle. I know the easy rule of rodent identification. Gerbils have hairy tails, mice and rats have pink, bald tails, and hamsters have no tails (not more than a tiny nub).

They are guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus), also called cavy; lovely little rodents.

I should have been able to tell from the face and proportions. I've handled them before. They are very shy and will holler if you try to hold them unless you do it often.
