I think it is related to the possabile leak of leaked windows code into reactos (see news item and anouncement on the home page)

There is no leaked win source code in ReactOS, afaik. It's about revers. eng. ...

The next ReactOS version will a 0.3 (with audited and trusted code only), the version goals are the same as before, but it will take some months more.

Some months? Well, it sounds great! But what about this:

How much code should be rewritten?
And one more question - will any of developers leave project by results of discussion? Maybe Hartmut decided to stay?

Its the methord.

One person pulled appart code and produces documents on how it works but no the code. Another person builds code from documents.

This was not always followed.

Not following this methord can see from time to time a coder by error entering exactly the same code into the code base thinking its their own idea. Reversing is not a crime. Coping sections of code from another program is even if it happens by error.

Now if the code is the same when two people have done it correctly. Its classed a commonaly. Ie This way is the best way so anyone would find it.

Now if its the same and its done by one person its stollen code.

Doing corrective action inside 30 days for coming aware normally prevents charges. Ie classed as simple human error.

The human brain is a pain at times the two person methord is ment to prevent it from causing a direct copy error.

This is what the audit will find out, all code deamed to be created from 'dirty' reverse engeneering will be rewritten the 'clean' way by a different developer. The 'clean' way consists of two people, the first documents in plain english how/what the function(s) do, the second reads the documents the first created and implements them following that.

No one can tell you exactly how long this will take, nor how much code will be rewritten. Only time will tell.

I don't know how much code it is nor related percentage.

btw. the files are still on the sourceforge server, because it is not possible to delete them (but they are not visible on the sourceforge website).
