Post by LMH1 »

I have look on http://www.reactos.org/wiki/index.php/Tasklist
And see:
Help System
* create a help system for ReactOS
* maybe a html-help or hlp format based one or html/xhtml/xml (gecko engine)
* write help pages
So i hope no other do it.
I well show it soon.

It in html format and i hope some like it.

Please see on bug 1799
http://www.reactos.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1799

There's an OpenSource Program called xchm
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xchm/
it also works on windows, maybe it could be imported to ROS.

It uses wxwigets.
We need ours to use Win32 API only.

Ahh, didn't know that. But it might be something to start with. So only GUI has to be rewritten.
Does anybody know how it displays html? Will it be able to use Gecko engine? Or does it have to be rewritten to use Gecko? What about other programs using IE html display?

We could also use webkit Win32 port instead of the bloated gecko engine.
