UWIN by AT&T

Dear ReactOS enthusiasts,

Unfortunately, as of late I have no time to test a very interesting "something" that I discovered only recently, so I decided to inform you of it, so you can undertake testing of it if it appeals to your interests. (I myself shall attempt to do so in the coming weekend, but "real life" right now has a very tight grip on me.)

The question is about "UWIN", research project by AT&T, which seems to be something similar to "Cygwin"; I find it so interesting, because the webpage basically says that it could run on Windows 9.x as well as on primitive NT-series up to the newest Windows incarnations. This makes me assume a fair chance on ReactOS.

Here are some pages on it:

For the testers:

It does NOT work, in any edition of UWIN, now matter how old. BUT - and that is the nice part - it FAILS always DIFFERENTLY.

For those of you who can produce the needed logs, this might be interesting...
