There is an online demostration to try ReactOS via web browser discussed before.
We should look what alternatives are.
Useful to people that don`t want to take their time downloading an .iso and installing it on VirtualBox.

Re: ReactOS online demostration
Very cool. It's a shame that it's running 0.4.4 and also that the vCPU is a (mostly implemented) Pentium 1.
Re: ReactOS online demostration
The copy.sh site has been discussed in these ReactOS forums before. You may want to edit your earlier post, Rosh.
middings wrote:The copy.sh site includes a copy of Microsoft Windows v. 1.01 running on the v86 emulator. This could be a violation of Microsoft's product license. If so, linking to this site may violate Rule 4 of the ReactOS Code of Conduct.
justincase wrote:We weren't discussing where to get MS Windows 1.01, a link to the disk image isn't easy to find, distributing such files is not the purpose of the site, so I don't think it counts, but if a mod says it's not ok, then the links could be changed to point to github.com/copy/v86 instead.
The software for the x86 emulator running on a web server appears to be open sourced under the BSD license or BSD-like license. If so, you could build your own site, Rosh, that runs only software with licenses that allow you to operate the software in this way. Linking a 'clean' site like that from the ReactOS Forums would be OK. (But before you invite the world to try your ReactOS-on-a-virtual-x86 web site, be sure it runs properly!)Z98 wrote:Change it. That particular rule is enforced very stringently.
Re: ReactOS online demostration
What similar online x86 emulators are there?
To test ReactOS in all of them.

ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

I will search...
The idea is to list all them in the forum.

Here are some links:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:X86_emulators
https://github.com/fcambus/jsemu
It seems that there is no other complete x86 emulator like copy.sh/v86
There are 2 but they are useless than v86.

Re: ReactOS online demostration
So, if anyone is curious to try it out, I've uploaded copy's v86 to my site along with three ISOs.
Here's 0.4.8 release Boot CD: http://www.exceedindustries.net/v86/index_ros.html
Here's latest nightly Live CD: http://www.exceedindustries.net/v86/ind ... _live.html
And here's VGal's live from 1/30/18: http://www.exceedindustries.net/v86/ind ... _live.html
In testing, only VGal's was able to get me to a desktop, but it takes several minutes to get there.
The BootCD will start the installer when configured without a virtual HDD, but if I add a virtual HDD, it seems to stop it from booting at all (or I just lost patience).
The LiveCD will attempt to boot, but complain about not being unable to open a registry hive.
NOTE: The VM is configured for 768 MB RAM; when running VGal's build, my Chrome tab was using over 1 GB of RAM.
