ReactOS default font
Where can I get a copy of the ReactOS default font, the one used in the logo?
Please keep the Windows classic 9x/2000 look and feel.

Which font will the new web page use for the ReactOS logo? The CD covers should use the same!
Re: ReactOS default font
@solid_black,
I have done a search on the web for "Century Gothic" and found a site that says that it's free. I have down-loaded it, but I am not happy as to it's legality.
I thought that the font that is used in the logo, was available somewhere on the Ros website!

Re: ReactOS default font
@oldman,
Wikipedia says that ReactOS logo is GNU GPL, so Century Ghotic should really be free (as in freedom).
And if you haven't already, take a look at this: https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-7478. That one is really hosted on the website, and it was published by vicmarcal so there should not be any law violations. It is not the font itself though, but I suppose you need just the word "ReactOS" written.

Re: ReactOS default font
The font is TeX Gyre Adventor: http://dl.1001fonts.com/tex-gyre-adventor.zip
Re: ReactOS default font
1001fonts.com is not clear about the licensing of TeX Gyre Adventor font.
I found more information from the The TeX Gyre (TG) Collection of Fonts page. Near the bottom of the page the originators of TeX Gyre fonts discuss their license, the GUST* Font License (GFL), which they say "is a free license".
*GUST = (Polska) Grupa Użytkowników Systemu TeX, Polish TeX Users Group

Since the ROS logo is copyrighted (source), the license ascribed to ROS logo on Wiki is probably wrong.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaTeX_Project_Public_License wrote:GPL compatible: No
Re: ReactOS default font
This is a small quote from the GUST website, section Licensing.
This backs up what middings has posted.
GFL = GUST FONT LICENSE.The freedoms granted by GFL include the free use of the fonts for whatever purpose you wish.

Re: ReactOS default font
I know the font itself is free, but I can't find the license the ROS logo picture is officially released under. I could upload the logo to wiki right now and say it's CreativeCommons instead of GPL, but...
Re: ReactOS default font
The logo is trademarked, meaning we control how it can be used besides the exceptions granted by fair use.
