Lautus - ReactOS visual style

Re: Lautus - ReactOS visual style
It looks pretty good! I personally see the only exception in the scrollbars. All is nice and sharp, but scrollbars (especially the arrows) are kinda blurry.

Indeed, very nice.
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

Re: Lautus - ReactOS visual style
Awesome! It would possible to change the window border color? Or have a blue version of it? I'm accustomed to that color since w98
Re: Lautus - ReactOS visual style
is that windows 2000 rebranded?
Re: Lautus - ReactOS visual style
I see there's been a new commit improving Lautus in r61886. What's new?

Some corrected look and feel. Some frame and button colors and sizes as far as i can see.

Re: Lautus - ReactOS visual style
I redesigned some of the elements which I think looked bad. Buttons, scrollbars, Explorer-typical elements, window status bar and also some checkboxes/radiobuttons as well to match the improved design. Also taskbar went through some improvements as well.
Re: Lautus - ReactOS visual style
I would love to see more colours available too.
Re: Lautus - ReactOS visual style
This is just my opinion, but I like to be able to tell if something is a button or not. I made my own version of the start button: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BweeR0 ... sp=sharing
IMO, the title bar buttons should be separated similarly. BTW, the image uploaded is vector.

Re: Lautus - ReactOS visual style
btw, Lautus is using a Segoe font, however Reactos doesn provide it and the Style ends loading a really old ugly font.
Maybe you can define a font which is already provided?
Thanks!

According to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segoe, they are not open source or free.EmuandCo » 03 Mar 2014 17:08

Please keep the Windows classic 9x/2000 look and feel.

DejaVu will fit well as a substitution font.
-uses Ubuntu+GNOME 3 GNU/Linux

Re: Lautus - ReactOS visual style
Lautus uses Ubuntu (Normal and Extra Large mode) and Segoe UI (Large mode) font families (and Tahoma and Arial ^^). I added Open Sans as Segoe UI font clone and Ubuntu and it works fine. I found a nice bug anyway. Themeing does not set bold where needed. It just ignores it...
Set by default.

Manually added bold on Caption Bar.
