Widget-program

Hey Gys :)

I want the system to start a little widgetprogram after the system is installed and started the first time. How i have to modify the kernel an where i have to save the programm? :?

its yahoo widgets. Yes of corse, but i want to install already when I install the system. I want to have it as a systemprogramm which starts automatically at the first system start

Have you tested it in Ros?Are yahoo widgets working on Ros?Because it will be a lose of time trying to integrate in the Installation and discover afterwards that Yahoo widgets use layered windows with transparencies and both things arent supported in ReactOS.

i will check it out. but i think yahoo widgets is a java-program isn't it?

Yup, seems to use Java(wikipedia dit) and ReactOS has beginning supporting Java recently...so...who knows. :)

I have a problem, i can't change any data between windows xp and the virtual machine (reactos)

Would you help me?

pack them on a iso and mount it. or try a local ftp.

1) Create an ISO with PowerIso or MagicIso of the files you want to load in the VM
2) Go to your Virtual Machine CD drive and select that ISO file
3)Run the VM
4)You will find the files in ReactOS in the D: drive.

system error after installing yahoo widgets:

mscrv80.dll not found

Do you no what exactly the problem could be? is it possible to fix it?

That app requires MS Visual C Runtime library, you have to supply. Get it from internets and put to System32 directory.

Yes,sometimes putting the asked DLL to System32 will solve the issue.
