Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
Or, can you tell me which File_system will be support with ReactOS ?
Is there the schedule ?

Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
If someone implements btrfs, then yes.
FAT32, EXT, possibly NTFS as welll.
There is no schedule.

Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
Thank you for your answer!
So, is that meaning "ReactOS have no schedule about any subordinate part" ?

Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
Unfortunately, that's the truth
Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
What a pity !
Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
Also there is Ext2/Ext3 support in the way...acat1433 wrote:

Yes, a pity, we need company support to boost ReactOS development. That is the truth. And the pity is...noone wants to support ReactOS.
Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
So, what support of company ? Cash or publicity ?
And , I think we should write the schedule if we need company's support.
You know that any company like Input-output ratio , the action plan and Profits .

We are serious enough to be an Opensource project with noone paying our devs.
With a Support Company we can hire 1,2,X devs and when hiring you can expect schedules, action plan and profits.
If a Company hires an USB guy, the guy must create USB code 8 hours at day during 220 days,or he will be fired.
When developers join ReactOS project they choose an area, but they can begin jumping in the areas or spending just they little spare time. So you can't ask for schedules, profits or action plans.
Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
You said "we need company support to boost ReactOS development."
So , how ? Without any plan ?

Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
The plan will be created by the Company. It will invest in those areas they think are best.acat1433 wrote:You said "we need company support to boost ReactOS development."
So , how ? Without any plan ?
If they are creating Vendor Machines running ReactOS they dont need USB and will invest in 24hours stability.
If they are creating Windows replacementes they will invest in USB.
Etc..
The thing is that they hire devs. And hiring devs helps to boost any development.
Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
I just think we need a positive plan.
Such like , send out a professional marketing team. Then sign a Cooperation agreement .
If just waiting for help , ReactOS have to achieve 0.5 before 2014。
Any delayed will reduce the influence of ReactOS.
Especially , The market share of windows7 are growing so fast.
I know NT is not only windowsXP. But , lots of people have no the idea.
Just my naive idea.

Re: Will ReactOS be support to btrfs ?
As I'm the one in charge of FSD development in ReactOS, let's drop a short answer here.
First of all, the first post of this topic is quite explicit about FS in ReactOS.
Then to answer more precisely, in spite of our efforts (Art Yerkes and I) ReactOS kernel keeps being really unfinished for full FSD support. Furthermore, other issues elsewhere than in kernel make it hard to had other FS to ReactOS (not speaking about IFS).
So, until the kernel support for FSD is over, no other FS will be added to ReactOS. And as it appears we're only two devs working on the kernel at the moment, it will take a while. Especially since one of the two works on something which has nothing to do with FSD support.
Then, let's admit that ReactOS is fully able to handle any FSD. The priority will be then to fix/rewrite our current Fat FSD which is kinda... crappy. Then, it will be to support other Windows FSD, like NTFS. Finally, we'll support more FS, such as ext2/3. Why ext2/3 first? Because it's nearly easy to port to ReactOS as a Windows FSD already exist.
For the FS you're asking about, it exists no FSD for Windows (according to some Googling), which supposes that we have to write a new FSD if we want ReactOS to support it.
So, I'm deeply sorry, but your demand won't be realized before a while. And due to the whole components that enter in the realization process (writing, learning, and so on), it's just impossible to schedule it.
