No idea really :)
ReactOS project has just released 0.3.14, so we have to wait for users feedback.
If you compare 0.3.14 with 0.3.0 you will feel a big jump of compatibility (VBOX wasn't supported in the 0.3.0 release and neither 70% of the actual apps running in Ros)...so this helps to think we can move to 0.4 sooner than later.
Personally I'm pretty sure we won't jump to 0.4 without a tested and stable USB stack, but this is just my opinion.
The USB development will be the key ;)

I'd settle for squashing that stupid memory manager bug.

As i see in the road map of 0.4 release, there will be a new explorer which means a complete implementation of shell32 library.

I don't believe there is an actual roadmap, just a wishlist.

a new explorer means more than just a complete implementation of shell32, there is much missing functionality in other components too.

As suggested in the other thread:
0.3.14.15
Comme on, Linux kernel changed its numbering convention at least twice, why not us? And as far as I know nobody used that scheme before (so that next will be 0.3.14.15.92 etc.). With 5 trillion decimal digits so far we have enough room for new versions.

edit:
Apparently the idea of using π as version number is already taken. Oh well, there is many other constants to chose from.

The convention is Major.Minor.Mini Version. PHP uses this since ages - look at PHP 5.3.10. They are patching version 5.3 as like ReactOS has an updated 0.3 version which adds new features and fixes bugs.

If I'm lucky I'll get time to test this out tomorrow. This question is a bit premature, but if that bug is fixed after all, where would that leave us in terms of Next Release?

There was a flurry of "MSHTML bug"-related activity before the release of 0.3.14, so I guess the question is, what percentage of 0.3.14 users will be unable to complete installation? The inability to complete installation is clearly a show stopping bug, so if any significant percentage of users are unable to install 0.3.14, there should be a "0.3.14.1" bugfix release as soon as we're sure that the bug has truly been squashed.
Today entirely the maniac there is no excuse with the article. Get free BeOS, DOS, OS/2, and Windows games at RGB Classic Games.

That leaves us to "oh my godness, we expected this to be fixed in a couple of months!" :)
Personally I wasn't expecting a fix for the Mshtml bug so fast really.Even more, the fix has arrived as result of the ongoing MM rewrite.
This was a great surprise for all of us, even for Zefklop who is doing a great job in the MM.

Imo, 0.3.15 needs the MSHTML bug fixed(done!) but also an Alpha-Beta USB stack(not yet!). With a beta USB stack we can face to go to 0.4 after 0.3.15 just polishing USB while checking that the new code is stable enough. Launching 0.4 without testing USB in a previous release seems too risky.

Next week there is going to be a new meeting, and I'm sure this is going to be discussed.

Cgutman and Janderwald are working really hard in USB, but it still needs more time to be finished.

If I have to say an ETA, I'd say that the next release is going to be launched around March 10th and it'd be called 0.3.15 or 0.4.RC.
But of course, this is just my personal opinion.

In 0.3.14 a Cgutman hackfix was added and seems it helped for a big percentage of those who were having issues installing ReactOS.
At least those who were hitting MSHTML bug in 0.3.14RC didnt have problems with 0.3.14RC2(0.3.14RC+hackfix).

my opinion is 0.3.15 when pisarz revieved the theme stuff only if it will be integrated. if not make usb support more mature and release 4.0.

After i used 0.3.14, in my personal opinion, i prefer another .3.x release; to test the new USB stack and polishing the remaining stuff.
I am really exciting about ReactOS progress, hope to 2012 be the year of ReactOS. :D

Yeah, 0.3.14.1 LTS. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the progress of ReactOS too this year. Although I wish Windows would go with a proper LTS release.
Stay frosty, Tony Bark.
