Bootup Debug Log database

Post by PeterK »

Hello,

What do You think about a database where the user / tester can place his actual serial DBG output ?

He should have an account to be allowed to place the DBG file.
Required data:

- PC manufacturer and/or mainboard type
- ReactOS Version number
- LiveCD dbg OR bootCD dbg
- log file from serial port output
- short description of behaviore

Devs could easily see behaviore of actual and older SVN versions on real hardware. It's just an idea - in the case that devs have or want to have benefit from something like that !

Thanks.

There is already a place in wiki/bootstate for the boot success or failure

yes there is http://www.reactos.org/wiki/index.php/Bootstate. but as you said it's for reporting boot success. PeterK suggested posting whole debug log and HW specs.

It's just 20 items long and there's no possibility to see WHAT did work or did not ..
