the ReactOS Home Page |
ReactOS is an open source
effort to develop a quality operating system that is compatible with Windows NT
applications and drivers. |
 |
If this is your first visit it is highly
recommended that you click on Introduction
under the General Information heading. For information about the license of this project
(GNU General Public License) click on License under the same heading. |

latest news, or for a broader view of what's
been happening over the last few months, click on News Archive. |
 |
 |
If you decide to join the project,
click on the New Member Form. This will
present you with a basic form that will ask you a few questions so that we can best
determine where you could help out. After you've submitted the form, click on Getting Started link under the Development Site to bring you up to speed
with the rest of the project members. |
| To download the current version,
click on Downloads where you can
download either source or binaries of the kernel and applications as they become
available. |

|
 |
It's highly recommended that you
read the current version's FAQ (Frequently Asked
Questions) to understand what's happening with the latest kernel release, the known
bugs and possible solutions to problems. |
| Click on Contact Information to view a list of the
project coordinators and how you can contact them. The Mailing Lists also under the Development Site is the place where most of the communication takes
place and if you're interested in ReactOS, subscribing to the one's you're most interested
in is crucial. The Message Board allows
visitors to give comments to the developers about anything related to ReactOS without
having to subscribe to a mailing list. |
 |
 |
Under the Development Site, the development help
sub menu section, you can view the Organizational
structure of ReactOS -- it isn't complicated. Click on CVS for information on how to request a CVS account -- note that this is
only for serious developers that have already shown that they are committed to writing
code. |
