blufoxicey on IRC ran some tests for me. The response is consistently "Keyboard
data line stuck low", i.e. the i8042 keyboard controller does not receive
anything from the keyboard. So I'm still kind of wondering if the keyboard is
USB attached. There is a Microsoft support article
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;812337) which says
"Your Hewlett-Packard (HP) Pavilion computer may run very slowly and may stop
responding after you install the HP software update for the Universal Serial Bus
(USB) multimedia keyboard". Can you run "lsusb" and see if a keyboard shows up
there?
Could you perhaps try to boot using an older ReactOS version:
