I get this BSOD whether I am using the 3.1 livecd or the 3.1 install cd,
whether using my newer Dell 4600 (pentium 4 HT), the older compaq presario 2286
(AMD k6-333MHz), or the HP Pavilion 6330 (AMD K6-300).  it happens after the
splash screen.
