I chose -x1 because most that I talked with agreed on num of cpu + 1 as being
the the best option, I made it configurable because so many disagree about it.
As for making it do num of cpu on a single core... why not just use make
instead of makex? Keeping it num of cpu + 1 also keeps makex a different
command even on single core.
