After CopyImage every line of the bitmap gets shifted by one more pixel.
After StretchDIBits the bitmaps are totally screwed.

A user32/win32k problem as it seems.

The placement error could to be related to bug #2225 (buttons 1-4 not drawn
correctly). The behaviour in ROS 16bpp CopyImage is the same as described there
(iXlate, QEmu only, comment #22).
