I can partially confirm this. With VirtualBox 1.6.2 under WinXP and build
0.4-SVN-20080729-r34922 liveCD.

The cpu usage (for one core, anyways) temporarily goes to 100% when the above
process is followed. However, after a few (8-12) seconds, it drops to normal
levels and the desktop is usable again. Subsequent attempts to navigate to said
directory cause substantially shorter periods of 100% usage, only 1 or 2
seconds.

Is this, perhaps, operating within reasonable parameters, given the size of the
system32 fodler?
