The latest tested revision was official r37485 (bootcd-37485-dbg.iso) under
QEMU version 0.9.1 (without KQEMU acceleration). Custom-built r37174 showed
this behavior as well.

Make sure you did not move mouse, clicking on OK / Cancel. The pointer will
reappear on move.
