After booting from the installation cd, the screen becomes black after reading
exts.sys. After about 17 additional seconds, the video signal will be switched
off (the status led at the screen switches from green to off). Installation
isn't possible.
Hardware:
- ASUS K8V-X with 2 GB ram, Athlon64 2.4 GHz,
- DVD RW drive LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4040B
- IDE hard disk 80 GB
- SATA hard disk 280 GB (not accessible without specific chip set driver)
- floppy disk driver (no floppy disk inserted)
- USB card reader (no cards inserted)
