Then we'd have to build a cross-compiler, which I didn't get done properly
under MSYS.
My build script sets host and target to the same value, so that a normal
compiler is built and afaik this one only supports a global CFLAGS variable,
which I use for passing -march.

It's what we always had before and I don't think it's worth trying to slightly
optimize a hack with a lifetime of approximately 2 months. (considering that we
already know how to do it properly)
