Using
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files/MSYS%20Base%20System/MSYS-1.0.11-rc-1.exe
on r41511 if one launches msys from the shortcut it creates during install 2
console windows appear and immediately close.
The following debug output is generated:
