           Summary: Problem with Grub bootloader
           Product: ReactOS
           Version: 0.3.9
          Platform: x86 Hardware
        OS/Version: ReactOS
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: P3
         Component: Setup
        AssignedTo: ros-bugs at reactos.org
        ReportedBy: pollokj5 at verizon.net
         QAContact: ros-bugs at reactos.org

I down-loaded the Reactos 3.9 installation program, burnt it to a disc and then
tried to install it on a 450 mHz Compaq computer with a 9.5 gig hard drive and
just over 100 meg of memory. Everything loaded and when I went to reboot, I got
a Grub error message of 17 and the machine froze. I then formatted the hard
drive running a live cd of Puppy 4.1.2 and set aside 5 gig of space as Fat 32
and the rest was for Puppy Linux. I then re-installed the Reactos system and
then installed Puppy 4.1.2 and used its Grub loader. The results were that I
now have two systems on the machine and Reactos will reliably boot from this
version of the loader.

By the way, you may want to check the Kernal for Puppy as it has the drivers
for the majority of eithernet cards, USB, etc.

Thanks and i\is going to be a GREAT system!.... Ken
