(1) Lone_Rifle: Yes, I'll do my best. I really felt personally offended
by the terse and dry remark "pestering the user", when I was doing
my best to help solving a blocking situation.

(2) Ged:
  > Firstly, if an installer hangs it's not the fault of rapps,
  > there is probably an underlying issue.
Precisely, it's not the fault of rapps, so why should it be the one
to take the fall (i.e suffer an external hang) ?

  > If it is indeed the fault of the actual installer (which is unlikely)
It is not unlikely, it has happened to me numerous times.

  > Secondly, you're giving too much power to the end user.
From my point of view there needs to be powerful tools available
to deal with malfunctioning software, but I can understand Your point
about putting that power in the hands of Joe User.

  > Thirdly, you're assuming that the parent process is the last to live..
Point taken.. In this I must agree with You.

  > Your logic is to wait on this parent process which is no longer around.
Correction. That was not my idea. I merely replaced a INFINITE wait,
with a timed wait to make possible any action at all in rapps.
My original idea was to remove the WaitForSingleObject completely,
but then rapps wouldn't be able to do it's post-install housekeeping.

  > To be perfectly honest, I'm not concerned whether this patch is added..
Quite frankly, neither am I. I was merely trying to help.
Next time, could You please try to give a motivation
before You cut someone down by the kneecaps ?

Best Regards // Love
