I had written I tested it in vbox and forgot to change the hardware type. Yes
you're right, it doesn't happen in QEMU I've just verified with and without
kqemu but it doesn't happen in virtualbox when set to NAT either. I had
forgotten this happens since some time, indeed I had filed bug 5132.
