Before patch: Run Regedit, press F3. Search starts up even thought you didn't
tell Regedit what to search for.

After patch: Run Regedit, press F3. Same window appears as if you pressed
CTRL+F, so that you can tell Regedit what to search for. After that pressing F3
works as expected.

Windows Regedit works this way too.
