The unmodified libxml2.dll has a bug (or, rather, it was a bug in an old
version of GCC, which was used to compile this library). The bug does not show
up when running the application in MS Windows. But it fails in ReactOS due to
(generally speaking) unavoidable differences between the two OSes.

We are doomed! :)
