Try updating to head and doing a clean build. If you still get that assertion,
try booting several times (which worked for smiley with these bugs). That
assertion seems to be related to image corruption. What version of RosBE are
you using and are you building with CMake or RBuild? I tested with RosBE 1.5.1
and RBuild on VirtualBox 4.1.4 and it worked fine.
