I have made a fresh install on the same machine. Unfortunately it seems to have 
neither mouse nor keyboard support.
It boots to the GUI and as far as I can see it is running (not hung) but the 
mouse cursor doesn't move when I move the mouse, and the first-time 
installation wizard doesn't react to keypresses or mouseclicks.
