Trying to regtest this issue, i have noticed a different behaviour between
CMake builds and RBuild builds.

In facts, on rev 54221,the last one available for both build systems at this
time,
on RBuild build VLC is fine, while crashes in CMake builds.

If someone could confirm this i would be glad.
